  • Design workflow automation with Groovy, ScriptRunner, Python, and the Jira REST API to reduce manual effort and accelerate testing cycles
  • Lead and mentor the Jira Administration support team, overseeing resourcing, workload, and KPIs

Job Search & Independent Tooling

Self-directed

Oct 2024 – Jun 2026

The senior PM hiring market during this stretch was one of the hardest in over a decade — widespread layoffs, hiring freezes, and a deep pool of experienced candidates chasing a shrinking number of roles. I treated the search like a product problem and built tools to work it systematically, using Claude Code to build and iterate quickly.

  • Built a resume and cover letter tailoring tool that customized application materials against a given job description and supporting context
  • Built a job-scoring engine that indexed listings from major job boards, rated each posting against my industry, title, and skill background, and ranked results by match score, recency, and applicant volume
  • Began work on a third tool combining the two — automated resume/cover letter generation per listing with a one-click apply path where feasible — still in beta when the search closed
  • Tracked applications and outcomes to understand which roles and channels actually converted, feeding that data back into the scoring engine

The search ultimately closed through a referral from a former coworker — a reminder that better tooling sharpens how you compete on volume, but relationships still decide outcomes.
